Letter to the editor in the Tübinger Tagblatt November 21, 2024 Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann handed over the new building for Islamic theology to the University of Tübingen. About the newspaper article in the Tagblatt: Bringing wisdom out into the world.

Inhuman

Wisdom does not come from above! After the kings’ rule by God’s grace brought disaster to the world, the Enlightenment thinkers placed the state on reasonable foundations, and there it stands better than on mythological texts that sowed hatred and discord and legitimized presumptuous rule. Humans made all laws without exception, the laws of Hammurapi as well as those of Moses and Mohammed. To give their laws more authority, the legislators wanted to make people believe that they were of divine origin. The best way to tell that they are not is to judge them by their cruelty. In the Bible, the death penalty applies to the most banal crimes; in the Quran, thieves should have their hands cut off and unchaste women should be whipped. Friendship with unbelievers is forbidden. They are often insulted and described as the “worst animals”. If such texts are understood as divine wisdom, coexistence is impossible. Wisdom would be to follow the commandments of humanity, not the supposedly “divine” laws, in supposedly “holy” books that are inhumane and disastrous.

Comment:

After centuries of religious madness, dictatorial governments and many wars, Germany has finally managed to give itself a liberal constitution in unity and now this constitution is once again threatened by religious madness, which our government is still supporting with millions of Euros.

Mohammed invented Islam to gain power, wealth and sex for himself. In return, he promised Muslims the illusion of being chosen and eternal life. A good deal – for him and the believers! He united them, and created a community among the “right-believers,” but at the same time brought intolerance, hatred and hostility against the unbelievers into the world. For one man to triumph, countless others had to suffer and give up their reason. Now our state is helping to spread these “wonderful” ideas in its universities. Allahu akbar!
