Islam, in its fundamental parts, the Quran and the Sharia, is an intolerant and totalitarian worldview, which aims to conquer and to dominate. Freedom of belief is granted only to those who, as it is usual in all totalitarian ideologies, have the “right faith” of the “chosen people”… this is mostly implanted or rather indoctrinated during the early childhood days. People of a different faith are in the domain of Islam, at best tolerated as human beings of second class. Civil rights and liberties for the person, the essential basis of our constitution, are not granted under Islamic rule.

On every page of the Quran, one can find any agitation against “unbelievers”. They are threatened with the eternal punishment of Allah. That comes from the fact that Mohammed was not great enough, and that his teachings were not convincing enough for many people. He, like his successors, had not been able to win people over; they had rather to compel them to Islam. Islam has not spread itself, but has been extended with much terror and violence. Why now should the spread of an intolerant ideology be supported by a liberal constitutional state?

Of course, Judaism and Christianity belonged to the intolerant and totalitarian world views, too. Judaism, however, does not want to missionise, and the persecution-furious “state-Christianity” in Europe has been overcome after a rage that lasted almost two thousand years. Islam must be forced into the limits of our constitutional liberal state, too, and the history of its spread must be explored and written truthfully.
